The Cousins Shield

The Cousis Shield was donated by the Firm A.G. Cousis & Co. and was one of the first K.O. competitions organised in Malta. The first edition started in 1913/14 but the competition never finalised due to one of the normal acrimonious disputes at the time. There were some seasons in which the competition was not held until it was played for the last time in 1930/31. Before World War II it was one of the most prestigious competitions in Maltese football.
